Due to their convenience and options,  they have become more popular among subbers and viewers. 

 

To use softsubs make sure the subtitle file and the raw video are in the same folder.

Both files must be the same name.

For easier use, VLC software is highly recommended when using softsubs. Open raw video with VLC. On the top option of the player, click "subtitles" > "add subtitles", and the subtitle file can be selected. You could turn subtitles on or off and replace it with another language or an updated softsub if you prefer.

Softsubs could also be used when you purchase the film/dramas Blu-ray/DVD.

NOTE: Make sure the Blu-ray/DVD you purchase is compatible with your device or region.

In most cases, you'll find that the film or series you love may not have subtitles.
